Mr Brady… I’ve shot this guy since about 6 months old and now he’s turning 2!… Seems like a familiar post (dejavu from earlier this week). We shot these at Hurricane Shoals Park and he was the perfect little model as usual. Check out some these great shots… and oh yeah he’s got a baby brother on the way… Congrats!! ::

Greene Shooting Greene :: { athens ga photographer }
About a year or so I entered a photography package into our local high school booster club charity event… it was auctioned off for a good cause and well this family won the bid… well we have been in contact back and fourth ever since her youngest son was born about a year ago… We finally got to plan a date and shot the session this afternoon and I was looking forward to it. Her boys are so sweet and like any other 1 and 4 year old, mom and dad had bribed them with some ice cream afterwards… yummy! Anyway, dad’s face may seem just a little familiar to a few of you Dawg fans out there… he’s probably one of the greatest QB’s that the NCAA has ever seen and I was a bit star-struck at first, but what a down to earth guy… enjoyed the evening shooting him and his family… Maybe, just maybe I become his go to receiver… i mean photographer =). Big Sister, Little Sister :: {north ga photographer}
Ahhhhh it feels great to be shooting again, I had my first shoot this past Monday since my amazing senior session a few weeks back… this session pretty much marked an end to my well planned, well deserved break… now it’s time to hit the gas wide open an knock out these weddings and other sessions booked in the coming weeks and months. This session was nice because I got to take some shots of 1 year old Gracie and just about a year or so ago I shot her bigger sister at the same age…. well both were present at this session and we got some great shots… here is a quick sneak peek… check them out ::
Kale Corbett – A True Player
” Hi, I am Kale Corbett. My parents are Tim and Brandy Corbett and I have a sister, Katy Rose. I am in the 4th grade at Jefferson Academy. I love to play football, basketball, and run track. One day, I began to feel so tired that I couldn’t even play during my football game. That isn’t like me so my mom and dad took me to the doctor. After lots of tests, they said I had leukemia. It is a rare type of ALL.” -Kale
Meet Kale Corbett… that is Kale’s story. I just recently met Kale this past Monday, I have always known his mom, his uncle and just most recently shot his aunt’s engagement session…. a great and very close nit family! A very competitive gene pool there and Kale has seemed to gained it honestly as he jumped right out of the car with a football in hand throwing hailmary passes to his sister Katy and diving on the ground to catch passes (momma wasn’t crazy about him getting dirty, but it was a good catch!). Kale has been diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia… and has since under went a few chemo treatments, but I tell you what you would have never known it do to this guys spunk and good attitude! The GREAT news is they have a bone marrow donor and they were officially cleared for transplant! I have been keeping up with Kale here at his webpage. You can tell God is truly working in and around this little guys life and family. If you care to help Kale out in anyway you can start by stopping by his donations page. Kale we’ll photograph you again in a few months and you can show me how to throw one of those hailmary passes!

Too Cute :: {athens ga childrens photographer}
I shoot a limited number of children sessions each year and I have had the privilege of capturing some cute kids, BUT this lil angel from my last shoot is an absolute doll. This little girl was a joy to shoot and she was so funny and explorative (probably not a word but it is to me now..lol). She was checking out all kinds of things but still gave us those great moments in between. She reminds me of a baby doll with her big greene eyes. Check out some of these sneak peeks ::
Parker is One :: { athens ga photographer }
Mr. Parker turned one! We have completed his Crib, Crawl and Walk series… and walk is actually an understatement, this kid can fly! For a 13 month old Parker was FAST! In between Parker’s shots and his Olympic sprints we worked his cute big sister into th esession Ms. Anna Kate. She was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to the camera and started super modeling it towards the end of the shoot. Here are a few sneak peeks from this past Thursday’s session ::
Bo-man on the Playground :: {children photographer jefferson, ga}
Bo’s turn for another round of birthday pictures… We shot these this afternoon on JES playground. With rain moving through just a few hours before us and a 7:15 birthday party at the Mexican Restaurant, we hit the window to shoot just right! He is a fast one to try and catch on camera… thats the truth! I ended up getting some great shots from the shoot… here are few sneak peeks… now if you will excuse me we are going to eat Mexican for Bo’s b-day =)

Blog post number 3 for me tonight, but I just had to finish this session because it was soo sweet. This is pretty cool because Cassie has been cutting my hair for several years now and over those years I have heard stories of her engagement, of her wedding, of her pregnancy and now I finally got the chance to take pictures of lil Meadow her one year old daughter! The Jinks Family :: {athens ga photographer}
I choose to shoot a very limited number of family sessions each year… well this past Sunday was one of the few that I will shoot this year. A great family… the Jinks. I go to church with two of them and they ended up buying a gift certificate from me before Christmas to give to the mom for family pictures. We shot at a favorite hot spot in downtown Athens… the session went well even though it was 90+ degrees outside… Here are just a few from the session:

Triplets at Hurricane Shoals {Children Photographer}
Session two of the Crib, Crawl and Walk package with these three little triplets…. If you ever thought shooting a six month old was tough, try 3! These guys did well though…. the adults out numbered the kids by one. Mom and dad brought help in the form of grandparents. We decided on Hurricane Shoals Park for this session…. it was close by and we were all familiar with it but boy was it HOT! Anyway here is a sneak peek from the session:

Mr Bray at Staghorn Chapel… the son of an old basketball team mate and friend of mine… was quite the character to shoot. His mom and dad got married at Staghorn somr years ago so when I was contacted and to take pictures of lil Brock… Staghorn Chapel was mentioned and it only made sense to shoot there where the family first began. It was time for me to shoot Mr. Nate again… (Nate Dawg!!!!…. sorry just had to say that, one of my favorite rappers from way back in my high school years). Anyway…. this Nate is not a rapper but I think he’s going to be a runner…. kid is fast! I got some good shots with Mr. Nate… it took a few hiding and peek-a-boo games but we nailed it… Good job Nate! Man… this guy is growing fast! I remember shooting little Blake when he was just 3 months old… we have had a session together every year now and now they little guy is 4. Wow… time flies. We have shot about at most of my hot spots for kids, but his mom said he was into trains…. well luckily Jefferson has no shortage of train tracks and or train cars… here are a few from the session:
Brady Heath Part II { Founders Garden at UGA }
So it was time for little Brady’s pictures again… This kid has grown so much since the first time I met him at 6 months old. He has the kind of eyes that every photographer loves to shoot…. BIG and BLUE! Brady was a champ this past Sunday… not one cry not even one whimper. Can’t wait to shoot lil Heath Jr again… Check out some of the shots from the session:
The O’man.. My Main Man… Owen! { Jefferson GA Photographer }
It’s been awhile since I took the O’man to his favorite playground in Jefferson… well not really much here to say other than this guys is the GREATEST!
Out fo the Box in Commerce, GA
So yeah… I choose to shoot just a limited number of family sessions each year, by this I mean that I am very selective. Reason being families are good to shoot but rarely do any of them “really” want to push the boundaries and step outside of the box. Well meet the Rubio’s! Nichole contacted me sometime ago and booked me several months back… in some of the email correspondence that we had, we were trying to figure out a place to shoot…. she wanted “different”…. and I said HOW DIFFERENT? She said junkyard different and I said OKAY! I have shot at these places a good bit but never in a family setting and the Rubio’s were down for going against the normal family grain of photography. No pretty green grass… no wonderful old bridges… no kids running around with balloons… just straight up raw urban grunge look. I myself thought it would be a good contrast with such a great looking family. Thanks Nichole for suggesting such a cool shoot! Here are a few of the shots that we got from the session… enjoy!
Little Maddie at Hurricane Shoals
So I had my first big shoot of the year today after I awarded myself a two month break from the action. Well needless to say I was itching to go shoot something and just so happened it was little Miss Maddie’s turn. I shot Maddie earlier part of last year and she was quite the portfolio builder. This go around she was fixing to turn or had already turned 22 months I think her mom said. Well she was just like any other 2 year old… full of energy and non-stop. I had a chance to grab some great pictures and are just a few from the session:
The Thomas Family
I had the opportunity to combine two shoots into one today. These guys were the recipient of one of my gift certificates and they redeemed it today. We had plans for a mini 3 month session and a combined family session. Like all 0-3 month sessions it started a little slow but as soon as the little one was ready, we got some very good shots and ended with a great family session. Mini Me… Love This Guy!!
So it has come time for fall pictures…. and while I take hundreds of thousands of pictures a year…. well me and my family usually take a back seat to the paying clients. We always try to do at least a shoot for our little son Owen… well today was that day. Of course every time I pull a camera out he always seems to turn his head… it never gets old (sarcasm). Anyway we got a very slow start today but then he wanted to help daddy take pictures… sooo he is quite familiar already with a camera at 3 years old… so we gave him the powerful D40 and let him loose… hope you enjoy just a peek into my day today…
The Taylor-able Two’s….
Little Taylor…. oooh little Taylor. This guy was quite the cute little sight and very fun and full of energy. Like any other two and a half year old in the world… he really wasn’t interested in having his picture taken. So on that quick observation… I had to convert from photographer to play buddy. Well we played hide and seek, mom gave him a sucker and that really lit his face up. We ended up getting some really great candid’s as you can see below!

Some old friends of mine from high school contacted me awhile back about doing some pictures of their kids and some family shots. So we had the shoot finally this past Sunday and as soon as they walked up… Ms. Janey says… “you are going to earn your money with these two….”, I chuckled and took it as a challenge. Mr. Gibson
Hello blog… hello people. It has been way to long since my last blog post and I do apologize, but I had a much needed break in September. October is gearing up to be pretty crazy so you may see me on here more than you want…. ANYWAY, enough of that. I got to shoot Mr. Jackson Gibson again this year… last year we had a really good session with the leaves turning with the fall weather arriving… this year we shot a little early and in a garden area where there isn’t really any changing of colors, but none the less we still had a great shoot and got some great pictures. Slow Down Sean…..
This was a great and challenging shoot…. Sean is quite the ball of energy. I went to high school with his lovely mother Kimberlie and when she contacted me to do a session… i was quite honored because her pictures of him are pretty darn good. Well Sean and mom arrived with help in the form of some happy grandparents and it paid off because they helped me to sneak in a grab some shots before he was off in full sprint again… below are a few of my favorites from the shoot.
