Fastpitch and Pole Vaults…
Brooklyn (Brook) Watkins, an East Jackson senior this year and is ready to vault into her last year of high school. Brook and I go to the same church together (Southside…. come on over) so i was excited when her mom asked me to do her senior pictures. I learned that Brook is some athlete with her 1000 medals around her neck and a pole vaulting scholarship in the bag. We started out in Athens with a little more formal look and then headed on over to the high school where she was in her element. Both locations produced some really good shots… here are just a few from her session….
Skinner Done…. Not Yet
Sooooo this was the first senior this year from the same high school that i graduated from (come on 2011 J’town seniors)… Jefferson High School. This was an interesting shoot in that we were having so much fun and had so much good scenery (thanks to the Blackstock’s) that we actually ran out of daylight and have to finish the shoot at a later date. Even running out of time we got some great shots and i even had to think quick on my feet as the creek where we shot was basically too dark with all the tree coverage, so i grabbed the handy dandy SB900 and got a little OCF dramatic light going on. PS – not saying i did, but if i would have slipped on a slippery rock and fell on my behind while submerging my feet in water… i may would have sacrificed my body to save my D3 and SB900… just saying… “ouch” i’m still soar!
94 Degrees Hot… Senior Shoot
The day had finally come for Ms. Lindsey’s senior pictures. Her mom and I had scheduled this session back in May and it had finally arrived. The weather was beautiful and the temperature was scorching… about 94 degrees that is! We had a very good shoot despite the heat. We shot in and around Commerce, from back streets, side alley’s, junkyards and fields. Lindsey was a good sport especially when it came to getting on the old junk cars and swatting bugs and insects in waist high grass. Without any further delay… here are some of my favorite pictures from the session:

Fairways to Farm Houses!
This was shoot number two this weekend… and it was a lot of fun. Ms. Hillary Gary was working the camera in the 90+ degree weather. We started out at the golf course to where i met her dad and mom… very nice people (and her dad and my dad were on the same football team together). After we got the “mom” shots out of the way as Hillary called them at the golf course, went ventured out to an old farm house and a lot of good pasture land…. and you know what that means…. YES i broke out my bench again! Anyway we had a great shoot and here are just a few shots from that day…
Savannah…. the first of many 2011 senior sessions
So the 2011 senior sessions are in full swing for me and Savannah’s shoot today was a great start for this years sessions. The bar has been set high with this first shoot. We had a good time today shooting and got some really great images. She was a good sport considering i dragged her out in an open field with tons of bugs and tall grass…. it paid off though because these shots are some of the best that i have taken…. enjoy!

The senior portraits are upon us. This past week i had the honor of shooting a 2010 senior… Chrisany! She was a lot of fun to work with and she really didn’t know just how photographic the she was. Rock On… Rock On!!
So i just got threw doing one of my most favorite things ever… yes shooting, but shooting a “band/singer” session. These are so fun to do. Eric Dodd is an up and coming local singer song writer.. i worked with him on his last album about a year ago… we worked together on doing his photography and the design of his CD… well the smae is going for this years… we just finished up his photo shoot and we will soon get started on his CD design. Senior Session…Alyssa
A great senior session this past weekend. Alyssa had senior pictures made before these and like most of the seniors that I get…she was not happy with her previous photographer and pictures.
