Carl House Wedding :: {atlanta & metro atlanta photographer}
One of my favorite wedding venues to shoot at… I can go on forever about how great the staff is here and how many wonderful spots on site that there is to get great pictures… The Carl House! Meet Candis and John… what a really great couple and I only officially meet them the day of and was only around them for a about 7 hrs. After shooting almost 80 weddings, there are couples that just have “that look” towards each other… you know that genuine look that that says “at that moment nothing else is even important but them and and only them”…. and it was very evident in the pictures. This couple made my job easy when it came to capturing the emotion and love between them! I can’t wait also because Candis has also booked a “trash the dress” session in the near future, so stay tuned for that, but ofr now check out these amazing shots!! ::
PS – any future brides out there debating on a first look… the one that Candis and John shared was filled with genuine emotion…
2014 Senior Session :: { metro atlanta and north ga seniors }
Senior season is now underway… hold on and stay tuned to watch and see what kind of magic is made this year for the class of 2014! This was a fun session as most of my seniors are… got to shoot on a farm and capture personality… lots of it =). Bryanna is a fun girl that enjoys the “duck face” in between shooting… however I did catch it a few times… just not included in these shots =). Glendalough Manor & Piedmont Park Wedding :: { atlanta ga photographer }
What a great wedding, great couple and amazing venue at Glendalough Manor. The day started out early… like 715am early and also started out a little rough for me as I forgot something pretty important =/, but anyway I got my pep talk and was right back in the game lol! The weather had forgotten something… forgot that we had a wedding that day as it was raining hard all morning, BUT then we got a little break… did the first look, bride and groom pictures, got in the ceremony AND knocked some home run shots at Piedmont Park… speaking of all these great shots that we got in between showers… check them out ::
Stover House Wedding :: { metro atlanta and destination photographer }
This wedding year seems to be an exciting one thus far… #3 on the season proved to be no different. I got the opportunity to shoot again at the wonderful Braselton Stover House. What a great couple as well… Ashley and Jarred were pretty laid back considering we had to move the ceremony inside due to rain, BUT afterwards we got to go outside and take pictures…. I had a 75 no rain wedding streak on the line… I’m still on the fence as if that streak was broken considering we still got to shoot outside. (now that i think about it their engagement session turned out the same way… rain then none then amazing pictures =) Anyway… Ashley and Jarred always seem to make great pictures… their engagement session was and is still one of my favorites today and their wedding was just as great… check out some of these shots =) ::
Beautiful Lake Lanier Wedding :: { atlanta ga wedding photographer }
What a GREAT wedding this past weekend… yes i just yelled that!! A wonderful couple, meet Amanda and Chris! There was a wild twist leading up to their wedding about two weeks out… well this couple is great to shoot and we did their engagement pictures on location of their original venue… which was a very pretty place… well right at two weeks before “the day”…. the venue burned slap down =(. Very sad situation but on a good note it is making a speedy recovery… with that being said I LOVE their new choice of venue!! Lake Lanier Islands…. I have attended several weddings here but never had the opportunity to shoot there until last Saturday! Amanda had nothing but great things to say about the service and the helpfulness of the staff to put her stresses at ease. Too you future brides… Lake Lanier Islands is by far a great venue, especially in a photographers eyes… as we will get to right now =) ::

What A Great Engagement Shoot…. As a photographer it always means a lot when a bride is willing to book her wedding around your availability…. it puts a big smile your face =). Meet Crystal and Nate…. me and crystal go back some years ( i won’t mention how many as it may show how young we really are … but last year around October she contacted me about shooting her wedding this October… and of course we got the details worked out and today was the engagement… ended up being a great shoot as it was also the first evening of daylight savings time ( my favorite time of the year )…. check out a few of the shots below ::

Happy 2013… It’s not too late to say that is it =)… So I’m baaaack! After my well deserved 3 month break over the holidays… and after what has a been an eye opening and life changing experience for me… its time for some photo therapy. What a great session to kick off my 2013… Meet Karen and Brad…. a real cool couple who wanted something very different for their engagement session… and that we did! It was shot at Brad’s studio where he mixes videos and other cool stuffs… (hopefully an SGP promo video may be coming soon =)…. Anyway the day started out very pretty with sun and blue skies, but of course with my luck lately as soon as we get out to shoot… the rain starts and doesn’t quit…. well of course we shot inside, BUT I saw an opportunity and with a cool couple that was down for anything neat… yeah… well… we shot in the rain… we froze but it was worth it! Summer Time! :: { georgia senior photographer }
Ms. Summer is a senior… Last time I saw Summer was actually about 4 years ago, I shot her older sisters wedding and Summer was in it of course. I really enjoyed this session for several reasons… one Summer is great in front of the camera and two we shot away from her hometown to get some cool and different looks. I mean parking decks and graffiti walls… how much more cooler could you get in the Summer time…(okay cheesey joke but I laughed). Check out some great shots below ::

Sitting here on my lunch break and thought I would do a quick blog post of a start to a great senior shoot….. This was a pretty awesome shoot on a few different levels… first and for most its the brother of my very first senior that I shot a few years ago… I am proud to say I have came a long ways since then… and thanks to Patti (mom) for letting me shoot your youngest and last to come thru =). Secondly… traditionally guys do senior shoots b/c mom wants them too, BUT my goal is to make the shoot for guys just as fun and cool as it is for the girls…. so mainly to do that I like to incorporate what they do, their likes, their hobbies and really submerge (no pun intended) my creativity into that. Meet Dawson… a competition swimmer! This shoot was a challenge on so many levels and if you know me I LOVE TO BE CHALLENGED… day 1 we tried the shoot and a monsoon of rain and killer lightning came thru… yeah not the challenge i was up for… day 2 (next day) dark dreary skies, very wide pool, local water aerobics club on one side, expensive photography gear inches from water, asst with a hurt back (but on the up and up i hear) and about an hours to pull of what i had in my head (scarey i know …. but I embraced the challenge and I think it paid off big time… this is part 1 of a 2 part session and these images are deff some of my best specialty session shots… stay tuned for part II :: (a lot of photographers have already contacted me about how i pulled this off… cheat sheet post coming in my Fortographers section of my blog… okay back to the action)
Mountain View Senior :: { ga senior photographer }
Meet Caitlin… 2013 senior, country girl, cross-country medalist and super model…. well I was kinda kidding about the super model part, but she very well could be… her and my camera got along very well! Caitlin is from Mountain View High School out in Gwinnett (thats right lil ol me is crackin into that market =)… MVHS is a fairly new school and she said that she will be in the first graduating class from there… pretty cool. This shoot was pretty much flawless minus the 100 degree temps and a few ticks here and there in the tall grass… but without any more delay… check out these shots ::

Meet Maegan… I got to kick off the season a bit early this year with her! I brainstormed a little and had few ideas to try and she was game for them all. I have known her dad for quite sometime and we are all Jeffersonian alums =). We got a lot of GREAT shots and here are just a few… it was hard narrowing it down but I tried…. I look forward to shooting some of Maegan’s friends and I also look forward shooting some great sessions in the surrounding area’s (JCCHS, EJHS, CHS, BCHS, WBHS, FCHS… Athens area schools, Gwennett Co, Hall Co and any others in North GA… )

Long Ball Senior Session :: { commerce ga senior photographer }
Well… the time has come and this session was or is “unofficially” my last booked senior session of the year until maybe another senior books one. Anyway what a great session to go out on. We knocked this one out of the park (no pun intended… you’ll see why later). Colton is a big guy, I swear we never grew ball players like this when I was coming along way back in 95′ =). His mom scheduled the session like 100% of my guy seniors this year, but also like the other 100% of the guys… we got some great shots and used what is becoming my stamp for these parts… some cool creative lighting!
